South West : Regional Assembly Bakoma Elango Heads Team

This follows the session as of right held in Buea yesterday December 16 after the November 30, 2025 Regional Elections.

The inaugural session of the South West Regional Assembly as of Right on December 16, 2025, produced an eight-man executive. It is headed by Zachues Bakoma Elango as President, who has been given a second mandate. The President of South West House of Chiefs is Chief Kombe Richard Ndike who took over from Chief Atem Ebako Bisong Andrew. Effoe Limunga Rebecca has been maintained as Secretary of the House of Divisional Representatives. 
The election unfolded at the Buea Council hall with South West Governor, Bernard Okalia Bilai, witnessing it as representative of the State. It was conducted by the eldest member, Beatrice Mbone Epie and youngest member, Ekpo Isidore of the South West Regional Assembly. There were 89 present and one proxy. Only one list stood for the elections. After voting, it scored 85 votes, two null votes and three absence giving 97.7 per cent participation. 
Governor Okalia Bilai urged all those invested not to represent only their divisions of origin but the entire South West Region.
