This follows French Foreign Minister’s criticism over the weekend of the military leadership in power in Bamako.
The authorities in Mali today, Monday, January 31, 2022 gave France’s Ambassador 72 hours to leave the country. Joël Meyer’s expulsion followed French Foreign Minister, Jean-Yves Le Drian’s description of Mali's military junta as "illegitimate" and out of control. He made the comment last Friday, January 28, 2022. Mali’s military leaders described the remark as "outrageous."
