PIEFARES project which seeks to incorporate agric instruction and training in Cameroon schools will run for three years.
A project plan for the integration of agricultural education and training in schools in Cameroon dubbed ‘PIEFARES’ has been validated. The project plan was endorsed, Wednesday August 9, 2017, by members of an inter-ministerial working group comprising of officials from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MINADER), the Ministry of Secondary Education (MINESEC), the Ministry of Basic Education (MINEDUB) as well as related government structures.
Making allusion to President Paul Biya’s declaration during the 2011 Agropastoral Show in Ebolowa, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Henri Eyebe Ayissi, said the project falls within the political will of the Head of State to use agriculture to accelerate Cameroon’s drive towards economic emergence.
