A delegation from the party’s Central Committee led by Ama Tutu Muna has laid the required groundwork for victory in the UK and the US.
Ama Tutu Muna, head of the CPDM Special Campaign Coordination Commission for the UK, US, Canada and Brazil, is currently abroad with her team, soliciting votes for the party’s candidate, incumbent President Paul Biya. The commission set up by the Central Committee of the party as part of strategies to secure victory for its torchbearer in the October 7 polls, started work in the United Kingdom last weekend. Ama Tutu Muna and her liaison officer, Nyake Napoleon Besong paid a courtesy visit to the Cameroonian High Commission in London. With a heads-up from the Commission about the hostility of some Cameroonians in the UK who apparently have been carried away by the ongoing sociopolitical crisis in Anglophone regions, the team opted for discretion.
