Vocational Training: National Exams Billed for October 24

The Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, Zacharie Perevet has disclosed that the national examinations for vocational training institutions will take place from October 24 to November 23, 2018. He made the statement while presiding at the closing ceremony of a seminar to prepare for the national exams on Wednesday October 18 at the campus of the Advanced Vocational Training centre in Douala.

He said some 4500 candidates from public and private vocational training centres will take part in the said examinations. Specific measures, he said, have been taken in order to normalize this type of exams. Being the third session of the exams, the minister expressed satisfaction with the results obtained saying some 2500 apprentices have been evaluated.

“The approach has been mastered and we wish to work more in order that laureates should receive commensurate and competitive certificates”, he said. Minister Perevet also said end of course examinations for SAR/SM have been harmonized at the Regional level enabling the evaluation of the knowledge gained from training and the homologated references  for this level of training. The said examinations took place in June with close to 5000 students from these schools taking part. He said validation of experience sessions have been taking place.
