North West: CPDM Celebrates Biya’s Re-election

But for the socio- political crisis that continue to rock the region, the North West is calm after the proclamation of the results of the October 7, 2018 Presidential election by the Constitutional Council. Life returned to metropolitan Bamenda on October 23, 2018 with many on the streets happy about calm that reigns. Of the few that filed out to perform their civic rights on October 7, 2018, CPDM militants are jumping for joy because their candidate, Paul Biya emerged the overall winner of the race that featured nine candidates.

It is on the lips of most CPDM militants that the experience of their candidate was recognized for re-election. It is against this backdrop that CPDM Political Bureau member, Senator Regina Mundi told Cameroon Tribune that trusted CPDM members in the North West cast their votes for President Paul Biya from whom they expect much and hope that he will not disappoint in the new and challenging mandate.

Senator Regina Mundi submits that the campaigns ahead of the election were very challenging because of the caliber of candidates involved.
