Agric Development: AFD Gets Government’s Commitment

The Director of the French Development Agency held an audience with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Wednesday November 21, 2018.

The Director of the French Development Agency (AFD) Cameroon, Benoit Lebeurre, has said he is satisfied the government is fully supporting the development efforts they are carrying out in the country. Lebeurre was speaking to Cameroon Tribune after an audience he held on Wednesday November 21, 2018, with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Henri Eyebe Ayissi. “We came to share our strategy with the Minister. We have a very impor tant programme around professional training and advising on farming as well as livestock breeding. I think it was important for us to be confident that the Minister is fully supporting what we are doing together,” the Director of AFD Cameroon said. Going by the Country Director, it was an opportunity for them to evaluate their operations so far and preview what lies ahead. “We will like to see into it that more people are given advice and their capacity built so they could produce more agriculture and livestock products of good quality,” Lebeurre said.
