Disarmament, Demobilisation, Rehabilitation Committee: Gabsa Sixtus Is North West Coordinator

The seasoned educationist sees the institution as an amnesty to separatist fighters in the region.
The creation of the National Disarmament, Demobilisation and Rehabilitation Committee (NDDRC) has come to solve the on going crisis facing the North West and South West Regions. With the appointmentof the coordinator for the North West Region, the committee now has faces attached to it since its creation by a presidential decree on November 30, 2018. Many now think it will go long way to encourage separatist fighters to show up and handover their arms and regain normal live.
On Saturday December 7th, a Prime Ministerial decree appointed Gabsa Nyugha Sixtus a secondary school teacher to pilot activities of the North West unit of the institution. In a chat with Cameroon Tribune yesterday 9 December, 2018 the newly appointed coordinator says the creation of the NDDRC has come as an amnesty to those in the bush. He used the opportunity to thank the Head of State President Paul Biya for the job and said he has offered a hand offellowship to those who have carried arms and are fighting.He assured the fighters that if they surrender their arms; they will not be condemned but will be reinserted into the society.He added that the centre which he coordinates will train all former fighters in specific domains of their choice while those that were in school will regained their studies.
