Cameroon-UNFPA Relations:Development, Humanitarian Affairs Discussed

External Relations Minister and UNFPA’s Regional Director for West and Central Africa held talks on the subjects during an audience yesterday at the Ministry of External Relations.

Development, humanitarian and health issues have been chatted between the Minister of External Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella and the Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) for West and Central Africa, Mabingue Ngomon, on March 25, 2019. Going by what the UN Regional Director told journalists, they equally exchanged ideas on a better partnership between the government of Cameroon and UNFPA on areas of collaboration during his courtesy call to the Ministry of External Relations. “My courtesy visit to the Ministry of External Relations was principally in relation to appreciating the partnership between the government of Cameroon and UNFPA which is excellent and exchange with the Minister on how to better accompany the government in the realisation of certain projects within our competence,” he stated. Mabingue Ngomon said they examined several topics such as maternal health, youth demographic dividend and how to continue working together to deal with the humanitarian situation faced by some people in Cameroon.
