ECCAS Supports Cameroon's Twin Elections

The visiting Secretary-General of the Economic Community of Central African States ( ECCAS) had discussions with the Minister of External Relations on January 16, 2020.

The Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) is determined to ensure that the February 9, 2020 legislative and municipal elections in Cameroon take place in an atmosphere of peace, stability and appeasement. 
The visiting  Secretary-General of ECCAS, Ambassador  Ahmed Allam-Mi had discussions  with Cameroon's  Minister of External  Relations, Lejeune Mbella Mbella on January  16, 2020 during which he  told the Minister that ECCAS was organising two workshops in that direction. He told the press after the discussions that ECCAS was organizing a workshop to help better prepare Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) officials and staff to avoid flaws in the conduct of the elections that have to hold in an atmosphere of peace, stability and appeasement.
