Civil Cabinet : From Greater Achievements to Great Opportunities

The newsletter published by the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic has changed its names from, “Le Temps des Réalisations” to “Le Temps des Opportunités”.

The 84-page publication of the Civil Cabinet of the Republic of Cameroon for the period January to February 2020 carries a new name which is, “Le Temps des Opportunités.” 
Explaining the change of name, the publisher, Minister, Director of the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, Samuel Mvondo Ayolo in the editorial said the new title of the magazine is pegged on the strongly-worded message of the Head of State to the nation on December 31, 2019.  Stating that it marks the advancement of the country resolutely on the path of peace, national unity and progress, he quoted President Paul Biya as declaring, “A new  Cameroon is taking  shape; a Cameroon that is adapted to present times  and looks to the future.” 
The issue of the magazine in the opening page starts with President Paul Biya casting his vote in the February 9, 2020 twin legislative and municipal elections with the title, “Effective Democracy”. This continues with the slot titled Once Upon a time. Here after reintroducing multiparty democracy in 1990, President Biya is shown casting his vote in the first multiparty legislative election of March 1, 1992. This directly links to the special pages of the magazine devoted to the February 9, 2020 twin elections. In pictures and words the presidential couple show example of participating in the democratic advancement through elections.
Pages 12 to 27 of the magazine is devoted to two major events, celebrations marking the 54th edition of the National Youth Day and the graduation ceremony of the 37th Batch of Combined Services Military Academy (EMIA) christened, “Major General Kodji Jacob”. President Paul Biya used the two separate occasions to address pertinent messages to youths in particular and the nation in general, enumerating the various measures to ensure peace and stability in the country and stating the role of youths in a united, peaceful, stable and progressing country.
