Limbe : Collapsing Fence Kills Two

Both are said to Be Internally Displaced Persons from Bafut, in the North West Region.

In the night of 18 breaking 19 April, 2020, a wall collapsed in the neighbourhood known as Caterpillar Field Limbe killing two persons.The dead are Miss Edith Lum, 29, and Miss Ngwegang Comfort, 25. One Emmanuel Mbuh was seriously injured. The three were all tenants who are reported to have escaped from Bafut in Mezam Division of the North West Region and sought safety in Limbe due to the current violence in the North West and South West Regions of Cameroon.
The City Mayor of the Limbe City Council, Andrew Motanga, and other Administrative officials were on the scene Sunday, 19 April, morning and were quick to announce that henceforth anyone building any structure or house in Limbe must consult the Technical Services of the Limbe City Council for proper follow up and control of the works. The killer-wall is said to have been erected just weeks ago.In this fateful night, it rained heavily until early in the morning.
