Abel Wade : Devoted Researcher Heads LANAVET

He was appointed by a Presidential decree on May 11, 2020 as Director-General of the National Veterinary Laboratory.

President Paul Biya on May 11, 2020 appointed Abel Wade, a researcher in animal production and health as Director-General of the National Veterinary Laboratory, abbreviated LANAVET. Abel Wade, an origin from the Far North Region of Cameroon was before his appointment Director at LANAVET, a position he occupied since 2013. He joined LANAVET in 2002 as staff of the Veterinary vaccine production in Garoua after serving as consultant at veterinary clinics with specialty in management of outbreaks and field survey in the aforementioned city of Cameroon. 
Born on August 17, 1968, the new strongman of LANAVET holds a Master in Veterinary Sciences (MVSc) from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria in 2010. He is awaiting a PhD final defense this year in Microbiology at the University of Yaounde I. 
Going by his professional career, he is an expert consultant at the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Vienna, Austria from July 30, 2012.
