Curbing COVID-19 : Civil Society Saluts Presidential M

Observatoire du Developpement Societal (ODS) has lauded President Paul Biya's strategies in managing the pandemic in Cameroon.

The civil society organisation, Obseevatoire du Developpement Societal (ODS) through its Director, Lilian Maurice Koulou Engoulou has saluted measures either put in place or instructed by the President of the Republic in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 in Cameroon. In a press declaration in Yaounde on May 29, 2020, the ODS Director equally called on all Cameroonians to ensure the respect of all prescribed barrier measures.
According to him, the May 19, 2020 address to the nation by President Paul Biya, a President elected by Cameroonians to pilot the affairs of the State, clarifies and confirms other measures adopted by government in suppressing the pandemic. Lilian Maurice Koulou cited the creation of a national solidarity fund by the Head of State with a one billion deposit, making available FCFA two billion for the acquisition of protective materials and the provision of two million face masks for the population, especially the vulnerable.
