High Tech Innovation In Cameroon : Israel Promotes Private Initiative

A branch of the Tel Aviv Developers Institute opened its door in Yaounde on June 29, 2020.

The Ambassador of Israel to Cameroon, Isi Yanouka has inaugurated a branch of the Tel Aviv Developers Institute in Yaounde. The event, which took place yesterday, June 29, 2020 is the fruit of a new partnership between a private tech institute in Cameroon and an Israeli coding school on hi-tech innovation and entrepreneurship; Developers Institute. The aim is to provide high tech competences to senior developers so that they can be more competitive in the market.

Ambassador Isi Yanouka said the event was one of his first ceremonies since his arrival in Cameroon as Ambassador. He expressed satisfaction to have made possible the partnership between a private Israel company (Developers Institute) and a private company in Cameroon VillaB to develop and educate young Cameroonians who are motivated to be great tech developers within three months. “We must not always collaborate with the government. We decided to work with a private institution because the pri- vate sector is also one of the locomotives for the development and growth of any country,” Isi Yanouka told the press. Good about the initiative, Ambassador Yanouka said, is the interest both enterprises (private sectors) find in working together for the growth of its peoples and their nations. He reiterated that the Israeli Embassy is out to support such partnership and create many opportunities for other collaborators in different sectors.
