FECAFOOT : Executive Committee Members Deliberate

Members of the Executive Committee of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) are meeting in an Ordinary Session that opened yesterday, September 24, 2020 at the headquarters of the institution in Tsinga, Yaounde. The meeting comes 24 hours to the General Assembly of FECAFOOT. Deliberations centred on key issues notably the situation of the Cameroon Professional Football League (LFPC), the state of preparedness of the 2020-2021 football season, the management of the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo, the level of progress of sports infrastructure of FECAFOOT, among others. 
Speaking at the opening, the President of FECAFOOT, Seidou Mbombo Njoya said the main activity of FECAFOOT is the organization of competitions. But the institution is still faced with the effects of the barrier measure No 4 of government which forbids the gathering of more than 50 persons. He said steps have been taken to call on government to relax the measures so that matches could be played in closed doors with a maximum of 200 people.
Concerning the situation of the Cameroon Professional Football League (LFPC) Seïdou Mbombo Njoya said the judgement of the Court of Arbitration of Sports (TAS) will be deliberated in the Executive Committee and the General Assembly of FECAFOOT for the members to take just decisions while preserving the interest of the federation. Concerning the renovation of the FECAFOOT Training Centre in Odza, he said a meeting between FECAFOOT officials and FIFA will take place on September 28. It is at the end of that meeting that the date for the kick off of works will be known. Plans are equally underway for the completion of the FECFOOT headquarters in Warda.
