FECAFOOT/LFPC Saga : The Tussle Continues

The judgement of TAS reinstating the LFPC as the institution to organise the national First and Second Division championships is yet to bring peace within the football milieu.
The wrangle between the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and the Cameroon Professional Football League (LFPC) does not seem to end anytime soon. The judgement of the Court of Arbitration for Sports (TAS) reinstating the LFPC as the institution to organise the national First and Second Division championships does not seem to have headway.
The appointment by the President of FECAFOOT, Seidou Mbombo Njoya, of the former interim Secretary General and current head of players licensing department of the institution, Paul Mebizo’o as the Secretary General of the LFPC has been rejected by General Pierre Semengue. The move by Seidou Mbombo Njoya is in respect of one of the resolutions of the Ordinary General Assembly of FECAFOOT that held last week in Yaounde. However the LFPC has countered the decision by the FECAFOOT president. In a press release issued by the Present of the LFPC, General Pierre Semengue, he acknowledged the rights of FECAFOOT to appoint a Secretary General but stressed that such a person must be recommended by the board members of the league.
