At Work : All Set For Take Off

All is set for the kick off of the Total Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Cameroon in five days. This is the outcome of the fourth Ordinary Session of Local Organising Committee of the African Nations Football Championships “Total CHAN 2020” and the Africa Cup of Nations “Total AFCON 2021” that took place in Yaounde on Friday, January 8, 2021. The meeting was presided over by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, President of the Local Organising Committee, Prof. Narcisse Mouelle Kombi. 
It was the last preparatory meeting before the start of the CHAN and it was an opportunity for the committee members to evaluate the state of preparedness and to make adjustments where necessary. During the meeting, the members listened to a presentation of the state of preparedness by the Director of Tournament, Michel Disake Mbarga. The different committee heads took turns to present the state of preparedness in their various committees.  The site committee heads, stadium directors and other partners reassured the Minister that the all was being done to give Africa the best organisation. Members equally discussed the aspect of security in the different competition venues. The committee heads assured that measures have been taken to ensure the security of people before, during and after the competition in the host cities.
