U-17 World Cup: Little Lionesses In Camp

The training camp is the fourth since preparations for the world Cup began.

The national U-17 selection is currently in camp at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo to prepare for the upcoming world cup in that category to take place in Jordan from September 30^th to October 21. The training camp which began on August 1^st is the fourth in a series aimed at preparing the Little Lionesses for the competition. Last Saturday the Lionesses played a 2-2 draw against a local team, One to One Academy in a test match. The present training camp will end on August 21^st after which the list of 21 Lionesses to defend the national colours in Jordan will be rendered public.

The team benefitted from the expertise of Thierry Banerat, a FIFA instructor who is in Cameroon to animate a training workshop for trainers of goalkeepers. Thierry Banerat attended the training sessions of the squad and dished out useful instructions to the players.
