Behind The Scenes of Mfandena

Apart from the green turf and the beautiful the grand stands, the media centre, dressing rooms and the commercial centre contribute towards the smooth running of the stadium.

As the 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations draws nearer, the Mfandena site is blooming with life. The Yaounde Omnisports Stadium will host teams in group C. The stadium hosted the 2016 Women’s AFCON, the African Nations Championship (CHAN) and so all the equipment is intact. Apart from the green turf and the beautiful the grandstands, the media centre, dressing rooms and the commercial centre are the sectors that contribute towards the smooth running of the stadium. 

High Tech Media Centre 
The stadium now has a high technology media centre. The press room has been rehabilitated and re-equipped. The centre has 100 seats, good quality chairs, and WIFI connection, straddles for interviews, and space for journalists to work. This space is preceded by a commentary box. The commentary box has electrical equipment, WIFI network to enable commentators work in good condition. There is a press room and a conference room. In the press room each journalist has a chair and a table and the equipment are electrically connected. The Coordinator of the Mfandena Site, Nkou Etoundi said the disinfection of space by December ending.  

Equipped Dressing Rooms
The dressing rooms A and B are in good shape. All the dressing rooms were already in tact as they had hosted other major international competitions. The offices of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) are well equipped in terms of movables and other equipment. 

High Standing Canteen Services 
Four spaces have been reserved for canteen services. There is the VVIP space, VIP space, another space rehabilitated for the staff of CAF and other workers and...
