Douala : Governor Outlines Security Measures

He was speaking on January 26 prior to other AFCON matches to be played in the economic capital.
The Governor of the Littoral Region has stepped up security measures to ensure that all goes well with feature AFCON matches at the Japoma stadium. The Governor was speaking on January 26 in his office where he called on all to be responsible. Governor Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, said in future matches, the stadium will be open five hours before the start of every match and the population has been called upon to get to the field early enough to avoid long queues. He added that all the necessary entries will be left open to ensure easy flow of persons. He also added that people will not be allowed to enter the field with big bags, bottles and food and that Covid-19 barrier measures will be strictly respected. He also reiterated that emergency routes will be accessible to ensure ambulances and other emergency vehicles to circulate if need be. Governor Samuel Dieudonné Ivaha Diboua, congratulated the population for their sense of responsibility thus far.
On his part, the Regional Delegate for National Security for the Littoral, Police Commissioner Raymond Essogo further explained that roads will be blocked two hours before the start of the match and once the match begins, the roads will be reopened and will only be blocked again 30 minutes to the end of the match....
