Vaccination: Youths, Children Updated On Vaccination

The target population received basic sanitary necessities to stem the spread of Covid-19 pandemic on Saturday in Douala.
A campaign to raise awareness on vaccination against the New Coronavirus has challenged youths and children in Grand Baobab in Bonaberi, Douala, to take advantage of the opportunity to have themselves vaccinated against the disease in order to stay protected and safe.
The main objective of the campaign, held in the auditorium of the Jerusalem Parish to educate the beneficiary community on the importance of being vaccinated against the ravaging pandemic.
"Our effort as a church body is to support efforts by government to break the general reluctance by the public towards the Covid-19 vaccine. In our door to door health outreach, we have realised that the reason for this reluctance is just ignorance about the importance of the vaccine. Since the onset of the campaigns in 2020, some three thousand people in select communities in Lekie, Buea, Limbe, Yaounde and Douala have been conscientised and equipped through distribution of some basic gifts with the intention of helping to overturn the proliferation of the pandemic."
