Burkina Faso : Show Of Determination Thus Far

The Stallions of Burkina have so far, through their play style, showed that they are more than ever determined to clinch their first Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title in Cameroon. In five matches played in the ongoing AFCON, the team that recently qualified for the semi-finals has won three, drawn one and lost one. They had their first baptism of fire by facing host Cameroon in the opening game of the tournament in Group A. Though the Indomitable Lions overpowered them, they scored a goal and showed a lot of determination to equalise. In their second game, they rekindled their qualification chances into the second round by beating Cape Verde before finally drawing with Ethiopia in their last group game. At the end, they picked a spot in the round of 16 after emerging second in group A with four points. 
Being second in Group A implied that they had to move to Limbe to play Gabon in the eighth finals. Many had seen Gabon making it through, but as the ongoing AFCON has shown to be one of surprises, Burkina Faso emerged victorious. But the victory did not come easy.
