2022 Basketball Elite Championship : Favourites Live Up To Expectations

As the battle for a place in the 2022 Basketball Final Four narrows down, favourites in the men and women’s categories are meeting up to expectations as the Elite Championship for the season progresses. After the first grouping consisting of two playing days, the second grouping made up of three days was played over the weekend in Yaounde.  In the Men’s category, current champions FAP are at the top of their campaign. After winning all two matches during the first and second playing days in the first grouping, the club equally won all its three matches during the second grouping played over the weekend. In their third playing day on Friday February 11, 2022, FAP thrashed Onyx 82-47. On Saturday February 12, 2022 during their fourth playing day, FAP beat Nzuimanto 71-40 before again overpowering Ecole de basket on Sunday during the fifth playing day 62-48.
Le Nkam de Douala, equally tagged as favourites, are more than ever determined to break FAP’s supremacy. In five matches played so far, they have equally won all with mouth-watering results. In the second grouping over the weekend, they started by beating Volcanic of Buea 92-43 during the third playing day. In the fourth playing day, they overpowered BEAC 78-73 before thrashing Firebirds 87-79 on the fifth playing day.
