Bafoussam : Internally-displaced Student Abused, Murdered

It was a black Saturday on March 19, 2022 in the Kouogouo neighbourhood of Bafoussam in the West Region after the lifeless body of 24-year-old Ngafi Faith Linwe was discovered. A native of Donga-Mantung Division in the North West Region, Faith was a student in the HISBA Higher Institute, Bafoussam. Her body was found in a near state of decomposition in her single bedroom flat in Kouogouo neighbourhood.
According to a source with the Bafoussam 4th District Police Station, Ngafi Faith Linwe was last seen on Thursday, March 17, 2022 by her family members with whom she was in touch daily. On Friday, March 18, 2022, her total silence created an atmosphere of suspicion among family members. The police explained further that this strange attitude prompted her twin sister living with her fiancé in Bafoussam to make several telephone calls without any positive response.
She (the twin sister) then asked her fiancé to go and check what was wrong with Faith. The police told Cameroon Tribune that when Faith’s sister’s fiancé got to the flat in the morning of Saturday March 19, 2022 and peeping through the window, he discovered Faith lying naked in her own pool of blood.
