Cycling Tour of Cameroon : Preparations Underway

Over 60 cyclists will take part in this year’s edition of the competition that will go from June 4 to 12, 2022.

The 18th edition of the International Cycling Tour of Cameroon will take place from June 4 to 12, 2022. Ahead of this important event, preparations are ongoing in the country. Organisers are leaving no stone unturned in order to secure a hitch-free competition. In prelude to the competition a team from the Cameroon Cycling Federation (FECACYCLISME) led by the President Honoré Yossi was in Douala last week to begin preparations. The meeting was timely as Douala will host the first stage of the race. 
While in Douala, the committee members met with the authorities and the élite of the Littoral Region. Discussions centred on the reception of the different delegations in Douala from June 1, 2022, the organisation of the grand presentation of teams ceremony on June 3, 2022, the smooth organisation of a closed circuit race in Douala the following day, marking the first stage of the competition as well as the departures of the 5th and 6th stages notably Loum-Limbe and Douala-Kribi respectively on June 8 and 9, 2022. The Littoral Region and Douala in particular have assured their full support in order to make the race a success.
