Douala : Foodstuffs to Ramadan Observing Families

It is significant that the gesture was coming in the last ten days and nights, for Allah shows great mercy to his creation during this time.
The burden of having to feed oneself has been taken off the shoulders of several Muslim families as they pray with fasting in observance of the Ramadan.
This came as a contribution of foodstuffs worth about FCFA 7 million in line with the goodwill gestures of the National Alliance of Young Muslims of Cameroon (ANJMC), a not-for-profit association that fosters solidarity, fraternity and progress among Muslims and Muslim communities, at the Best Western Plus Hotel on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
The contribution comprised rice, wheat flour, sugar, cooking oil and mineral water to families from Nkongsamba, Mbanga, Souza, Edea and Douala. Special envelopes were distributed to those from localities other than Douala.
The representative of the Divisional Officer of Douala II Subdivision symbolically handed the contribution to some families, followed and completed by the National President of National Alliance of Young Muslims of Cameroon, Mohamadou Yakoubou.
“The massive turn out of beneficiaries confirms that the population is in need of the assistance,” Mohamadou Yakoubou said in an interview with the press.
