CAF Champions League : Wydad Casablanca, Al Ahly Near Finals

Both teams secured huge wins during the first leg matches that took place last weekend.

Current champions, Al Ahly of Egypt and Moroccan giants, Wydad Casablanca have taken major steps forward in the race for the Total Energies CAF Champions League finals after their brilliant performances during the first leg matches that took place last weekend. Al Ahly beat ES Setif of Algeria 4-0 in Cairo. Percy Tau scored a brace while Mohamed Sheriff and Mohamed Taher scored one goal each. The visitors played over 55 minutes with 10-men after they had Amir Karouri sent off after a VAR decision overturned a yellow card. 
From the victory the Egyptians are one step ahead to the final while waiting for the return leg next Saturday. In the other semi-final match Wydad Casablanca beat Petro Atletico of Luanda 3-0 at the Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda. For Wydad Casablanca it was revenge as they had their only defeat this season (2-1) in African competitions.
