Guinness Super League : Lekié FF Grounds Eding

Lekié FF of Yaounde have moved one step ahead on the women’s league table after they beat Eding Sport FC of Lekié 2-1 in a day five encounter that took place at the Yaounde Omnisports Annex Stadium Number 0ne yesterday May 9, 2022. Supporters from Yaounde and its environs thronged the stadium to watch the encounter. With the postponement of the MTN Elite One competition to Thursday May 12, 2022, many fans used the opportunity to watch women’s game as a source of distraction and relaxation. 
It was an all Lekié derby with supporters of both teams cheering the players to victory. Eding FC began the game well dominating the encounter. That paid off as Eding opened scores at the eighth minute through Marie Claire Kibinde who benefited from a cross from Mahamat Abdoulaye Kani. Lekié FF equally fought hard with a more technical game. The Lekié ladies were able to equalize at the 38th minute through Melanie Zeutsop Keumedjio following an error by goalkeeper Christmilienne Ornelle Onomo. Half time score was 1-1. 
During the second half, Eding continued with their domination putting much pressure on Lekié FF. However, they were met with a strong resistance from Lekié FF. Both sides had good scoring chances but they squandered them as each side struggled to carry the day.
