Minister Felix Mbayu received the letters of introduction of Paul Coustere on May 11, 2022.
Newly designated Regional Director for Central Africa of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), Paul Coustere has presented his letters of introduction to the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu. This was during an audience the Minister granted the UN agency representative on May 11, 2022. Expressing gratitude to the warm and cordial welcome, he pledged to work towards the strengthening of collaboration between Cameroon and the UN agency which he now heads. “I will be serving the interest of the population and countries in the sub region in the five mandates that belong to UNESCO (education, culture, science, communication and information) and continue the work of many years of excellent cooperation between UNESCO and the Republic of Cameroon,” he stated. Having officially taken up function following the presentation of his accreditation documents, Paul Coustere will thus spearhead the realisation of projects within the framework of UNESCO’s mandate in Cameroon, Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, Sao Tome and Principe.
