Inter Clubs Athletics Meeting : FAP Athletics Clubs Top Charts

Third playing day of the national championship took place last weekend in Douala.


FAP men and women athletics clubs continue to lead the national athletics championship. This is the outcome of the third playing day of the Inter Clubs Athletics Meeting that took place last weekend in Douala. Organised by the Cameroon Athletics Competition, the competition brought together 214 athletes from 12 clubs in the country. The athletes competed in several disciplines in the track and field. With the absence of some top stars in the fast races notably the 100m and 200m, many young athletes used the opportunity to prove their worth. It was an opportunity for Cameroonian athletes to prepare for major upcoming international competitions. Even though no new records were created, the athletes improved on their personal performances. 
In the women’s 100m Njuh Nsella (FAP) was the first in 11.8. In the men’s 100m race Ibrahima Hamayadji (AIA) was the fastest in 10.3. In the men’s 200m Hoye Yenda (CSA) finished first in 21”83. In the women’s 200m Mintsa Marie (FAP) finished the race in 24”94. In the men’s 5000m, Yainam André (AIA) was the first in 15.22.5. In the women’s 5,000m Moasuiyi Valentina (FAP) won the race in 21.58.1. In the men’s 20km walk Ngnitedem Gabriel (FAP) finished on top spot in 1h56’52”.
