Mounted, Motorised Parade : Defence, Security Forces Showcase Prowess

They thrilled the Head of State, senior State officials, dignitaries and the population that turned out for the golden jubilee of the National Day celebrations in Yaounde.

Under the Commander of Brigadier General Agha Robinson, Commander of the Third Combined Military Region, Cameroon’s defence and security forces in the nation’s capital, Yaounde on May 20, 2022 showcased equipment and other arsenal that have been and will continue to be used to protect population and their property, ensure security and defend  the country’s territorial integrity.
The mounted and motorised parade of the forces was indeed one of the curiosities at the Yaounde 20th May Avenue during celebrations marking 50 years of the advent of the Unitary State in Cameroon. Just coming on the heels of the parade by foot soldiers, this part of the phase started with the mounted parade. The Presidential Guard gave the kick off with the Escort Squadron, followed by the Calvary Squadron and Motorcycle Squadrons. These were followed by the Escort Squadrons of the National Gendarmerie and the National Security.
The most thrilling part was the motorised parade. The Presidential Guard as is the tradition started with its Infantry Battalion that indicated its readiness for complementary efficiency.
