Budget Execution : Regional, Local Authorities Receive Skill

The aim is to help them contribute to the acceleration and deepening of the decentralisation process.


Regional and local authorities have been trained on what a budget is and how to execute, monitor and control the execution of budgets both in revenue and expenditure for the 2022 fiscal year. 
The session attended by Presidents of Regional Executive Councils, Presidents of Regional Councils, city and municipal mayors, financial controllers and public accountants from the Littoral and South West Regions took place at the conference hall of the Littoral Governor’s Office in Douala on May 31, 2022.
The Secretary General of the Littoral Governor’s Office, Aboubakary Haman Tchiouto, while opening the session emphasized that the execution of the budgets must contribute to the acceleration and deepening of the decentralisation process in order to bring added value to socio-economic, cultural, health and educational development and sports within the grassroots populations. He reminded the trainees of their vital role as State agents and so must master the procedures for the proper execution of the budgets in order to speed up the development of their jurisdictions.
