Star Building : Special UN Representative, Senator Mundi Received

The Prime Minister, Head of Government Joseph Dion Ngute received the officials in separate audiences on June 2, 2022.

The Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations Organisation to the Central African Republic, Valentine Rugwabiza has requested the government of Cameroon to  continue  to facilitate the fluidity of  operations between the Cameroon and Bangui corridor.
She made the request at the Star Building on June 2, 2022 during an audience with the Prime Minister, Head of Government Joseph Dion Ngute.  Talking to the press after the audience, she said, “the purpose of my audience with the Prime Minister was twofold; gratitude and requesting for the continuous support of the government of Cameroon in ensuring trade facilitation, movement of persons and goods on the corridor between Cameroon and Bangui.” Valentine Rugwabiza also doubles as the head of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission for the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).  Taking the position into consideration, she declared that the Central African Republic and MINUSCA depend vitally on the operations in the road corridor. “Whenever the corridor is not operating in a fluid way and whenever we don’t get the goods we expect in due time, the consequences are not only on the humanitarian side but also on the security side.”
