Salihou Sadou : Eminent Pharmacist

He was appointed Director General of the National Supply Centre for Essential Drugs and Consumables (CENAME) by President Paul Biya on June 6, 2022.

The National Supply Centre for Essential Drugs and Consumables (CENAME) has a new Director General. Salihou Sadou was appointed by the President of the Republic on June 6, 2022. 
The new Director General is a holder of a doctorate in pharmacy and an inter-university diploma in pharmaceutical supply obtained from the University of Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Prior to his appointment, Salihou Sadou was a member of the Board of Directors of CENAME, as a representative of the Ministry of Public Health.
A pharmacist by training, the Director General who originates from Guider in the North Region of Cameroon has held several positions at the Ministry of Public Health including being Inspector No. 2 at the General Inspectorate of Pharmaceutical Services and Laboratories. As Inspector, he was responsible for inspecting pharmaceutical structures and biological laboratories (public-private), supervising health structures, investigating offenses committed by healthcare professionals and the follow-up of recommendations for sanctions to be applied. In October 2020, he was made Director of Medicines and Laboratories of the same ministry.
