Promoting Peace In Cameroon : PM, Episcopal Conference Bureau Concert

This was during an audience on June 10, 2022 at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Exchanging ideas on restoring peace in socially unstable North West, South West and Far North Regions of the country came under discussion in an audience Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute granted the newly elected bureau of the National Episcopal Conference of Cameroon on June 10, 2022. Led by the President, His Grace Andrew Nkea, Archbishop of Bamenda, the delegation comprised the Vice President, His Grace Philip Alain Mbarga, Archbishop of Ebolowa and the Secretary General, His Grace Gervis Kebby.  
Speaking to reporters after the audience, the President of the bureau said they came to present themselves to the Prime Minister and chart a collaboration roadmap as concerns the restoration of peace in Cameroon. “He (Prime Minister) has been collaborating with the Conference in many ways and we just wanted to renew this collaboration that we expect between the government and the National Episcopal Conference. Secondly, we have discussed issues of peace. We were elected (President and Vice President) when we were just coming from Myanmar where Bishops had gone to pray for peace. Therefore, we see our mandate as a mandate to help to work to restore peace in the troubled areas of Cameroon especially the South West, North West and Far North Regions of this country,” he stated.
