National Symbols : Campaign to Inculcate Values Launched

The significance of the triple-coloured Cameroon flag was retold in Bonanjo yesterday June 14.

The Green, Red and Yellow colours of the Cameroon flag was driven up full mast in front of the Governor's Office in Bonanjo in the presence of the rank and file of the Littoral Region, led by Governor Samuel Dieudonne Ivaha Diboua. They stood upright with their hands down, all facing the flag and sang the National Anthem in honour of their beloved Cameroon, land of glory, land of honour, and a kind of subtle remembrance of their fathers that have fought for the country to become what it is today.
The hoisting of the flag on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 marks the official launch of a nation-wide campaign to sensitise the public on the importance of national symbols started by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education in Yaounde recently.
The flag is just one of the many national symbols that will be highlighted throughout the sensitisation campaign that will be taken to all units of the Administration in the Littoral Region. The exercise is a part of efforts by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education through its flagship programme to promote the inculcation of civic and patriotic values.
