Communication For Development : Best Practices Recognised

The Secretary General at the Ministry of Communication represented the Minister at the award ceremony on June 16, 2022.

Within the framework of enhancing positive behavioural change in the society, entrepreneurs with communication projects that spur development have been awarded. This was at the close of the third edition of the professional conference on communication for development abbreviated C4D.com organised on June 16, 2022 by Inter’Activ, a communication and marketing consultancy agency. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication, Prof. Felix Zogo, on behalf of the Minister of Communication presided at the award ceremony. 
The third edition was organised under the theme,” Communication and Decentralisation: what stakes for the development of territories,” with the Association “Family Club” being awarded the grand prix following their project on “Community Mobilisation Against Boko Haram” in the Far North Region. Led by Jonas Yedidia, the association created in 2011 mobilises youths, families and the community in general on issues of health, peace and development. A total of four candidatures were presented and they each received an award.  
Handing over the price, Prof. Fellix Zogo congratulated the winner, noting that communication is very important for behavioral change in the development of the economy. To him, public property can be best protected when treated with the desired moral values.
