FENASCO B Games : Olympic Flame In Yaounde

The reception ceremony equally marked the opening of the games that will kick off in Yaounde today June 20, 2022.

The esplanade of the Yaounde City Council was the venue of the official ceremony to receive the Olympic Flame of the 15th edition of the FENASCO B Games in Cameroon yesterday June 19, 2022. The ceremony equally marked the opening of the games that is resuming after two years of suspension due to the COVID-19 virus. 
On arrival, the Olympic Flame coming from the Far North Region was received by the Governor of the Centre Region, Naseri Paul Bea from the hands of an athlete. The flame was then handed over to the Secretary of State for Basic Education, Asheri Kilo who in turn gave it to the Mayor of Yaounde, Messi Atangana. 
The competition proper will begin today June 20, 2022 in five playgrounds; the Yaounde Omnisports Annex Stadiums, Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium, Government Bilingual High School Etouge-Ebe and the INJS campus.  For five days the athletes will showcase their talents in several sports disciplines notably athletics, handball, football and judo, among others.
