FENASCO B Games : Competition Begins In Yaounde

Over 1,400 athletes are taking part in the competition whose kick off was given yesterday June 20, at the Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium.

The Ngoa-Ekelle Stadium in Yaounde was the venue of the official kick off of the 15th edition of the FENASCO B Games in Cameroon under the theme, “A healthy and Sports environment for sports without COVID-19.” The colourful lunching ceremony took place under the patronage of the Minister of Basic Education, Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa and the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi
Speaking at the opening, the Minister of Basic Education, Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa called on the sports instructors to keep a careful watch on the children throughout the games. He said the Ministry of Basic Education has ensured that the athletes are provided with medical security. Laurent Serge Etoundi Ngoa used the occasion to thank all who contributed in the successful organisation of the opening ceremony. He also gave special thanks to the athletes of the North West and South West Region who have come to the games even though preparations were not all that easy for them. He equally expressed the wish that the competition goes on well in transparency and free from cheating. 
The public watched cultural displays and presentations by the athletes particularly the presentation of the history of Cameroon by athletes from the East Region. The giant model of the Games was handed over to the Mayor of Yaounde by the Ministers of Basic Educat...
