Cameroon-Uruguay : Framework Cooperation Agreement Signed

This was during a working visit of External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella to intensify and diversify cooperation ties between the two countries.

External Relations Minister, Mbella Mbella, has, at the behest of the President of the Republic, Paul Biya, carried out a working visit to the Oriental Republic of Uruguay which culminated with the signing of a Framework Agreement on Cooperation between the two countries on June 17, 2022. Minister Mbella Mbella signed for Cameroon while the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay, Carolina Ache, who had on behalf of Uruguayan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francisco Bustillo received the Cameroonian delegation, signed for her country. 
The fist working visit carried out since the establishment of diplomatic ties in December 2017, sought to intensify, strengthen and diversify cooperation between the two countries. After the signing of the agreement which took place in the presence of the fourth personality in the Uruguayan presidential line of succession, Gloria Rodriquez Santo, both parties agreed on the need to begin negotiations that would pave the way for specific agreements in various sectors. 
On the side-lines of the working visit, Minister Mbella Mbella met with key Latin American stakeholders, in the course of which he presented Cameroon’s investment attractiveness.  Meeting with the representative of the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF), François Borit, both personalities assessed cooperation prospects, with Minister Mbella Mbella recommending formal cooperation schemes with the African Development Bank and the Development Bank of Central Afric...
