Upper Nyong : CERAC's Largesse Reaches Angossas

The charitable association of Cameroon’s First Lady handed over gifts to health facilities, rural women and youths of the Upper Nyong Division in the East Region over the weekend.
The Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC), the humanitarian association created by Cameroon's First Lady, Mrs Chantal Biya, has handed over numerous gifts to health facilities, rural women's associations, and youth groups of the Angossas Subdivision in the Upper Nyong Division of the East Region. The event, which took place on June 25, 2022, at Angossa, was presided over by the Representative of the First Lady, the Minister of Women's Empowerment and the Family, Marie-Thérése Abena Ondoa, who is also one of CERAC's Vice Presidents of its "College of Counselors". In the presence of cabinet Ministers, the elite and a host of special guests, the personal representative of the First Lady made the promise that CERAC will never miss an opportunity to help the needy.
Like it was the case at Binkam, last week in the Adamawa Region, Marie-Thérése Abena Ondoa said they are in Angossas within the framework of CERAC’s core mission: that of supporting, through donations of equipment, to the population. This is in an attempt to assist in improving the quality of life and well-being of the people, she explained. The representative of the First Lady said CERAC was sensitive to the difficulties patients had in receiving quality healthcare as well as poor working conditions of rural women. That is why CERAC offered modern agricultural tools to 19 rural women association, kitchen, office and tailoring equipment to two youth associations and diverse medical equipment to four health facilities. “I hope that these equipment will contribute to significantly improving your daily live. CERAC will continue to fully play its humanitarian role. The satisfaction of the poor and disadvantaged is our priority,” the personal representative of the First Lady told beneficiaries.
It was an event full of joy and elation, as the recipients celebrated the reception of a diverse range of medical and health care equipment, all of which will improve their quality of life.
