2022 African Cadet, Junior Judo championships : Cameroon Gets 13 Medals

The country bagged a total of four silver and nine bronze medals in the competitions which ended recently in Kenya.

The cadets and junior Judokas of Cameroon put up an appreciable performance at the 2022 African Cadet and Junior Championships recently staged in Nairobi, Kenya. Team Cameroon in both competitions came back with a total of thirteen medals, four in silver and nine in bronze.
In the Junior competition, which ran from July 23 to 24, 2022, Cameroon won a total of seven medals; six at the individual level; two in silver and four in bronze. By team classification, Cameroon finished third, synonymous to a bronze medal behind Angola (silver) medal and Egypt (Gold). In the women’s category, girls like Fiona Nsame Mbongo (-48kg,) and Emma Cindy Heukoua Douanla (-70kg) won bronze medals. As for the men, Laurent Beina Bangmo (-81 kg), won bronze meanwhile Vladimir Carlos Ngueya Naheu (-90 kg) won a Silver medal in the midst of other medallists.
