Bamenda : DDR Ex-Combatants Celebrated For GCE Successes

DDR Bamenda Coordinator, Kum Henry stresses uniqueness of Center with opportunities in education and general Amnesty for all who drop guns.

The overall success story of the 2022 session of the GCE end of course examinations is topical  at the Bamenda Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration (DDR), Center with two ex-combatants on the list of candidates who excelled. Blessing Sevedzem who enrolled at the center from a fighters camp in Kumbo succeeded with three papers at the GCE Advanced level and Moses Etchu from a camp in Batibo featured with four successful GCE papers at the Ordinary Levels. The Coordinator of the Bamenda DDR center, Kum Henry  told Cameroon Tribune on August 22, 2022 that the overall vision of the center gives meaning to education and opportunities that inspire hope for all who drop their guns, leave the bushes and enroll at the center. Kum Henry stressed the uniqueness of the center with a General Amnesty for all ex-combatants decreed by the Head of State. 
The two successful Ex-combatant GCE candidates studied at a neighborhood educational facility. Their success story came a few months after the Center graduated 10 Pre- nursery and five Nursery pupils from studies at the center for the 2021/2022 academic year. Kum Henry sounded off about the merits of the center which feeds ex-combatants, educates, trains, settles and reintegrates them back into society.
