Interview: “Our Secret Is Hard Work”

You have won the Guinness Super League two consecutive times. What is the secret?
Our secrets are hard work and team work. After winning the first edition, we went back to training immediately, knowing that it is the key to success. While we were training, our objective was to win again and thank God we attained our goal. We had minor problems but we know that nothing is perfect. We had some injuries and the calling up of some players in some national selections played down on us. These problems made us to have limited players to work with at some points. But we are happy in the end because we succeeded to surmount these challenges and produced these excellent results.

You had just two defeats during the just ended second edition of the Guinness Super League.  How do you judge the competitiveness of the championship?
The championship had a very good level. It was competitive with all the teams struggling at different levels. This time, the fact that we did not have the kind of breaks we had in the past made it even more competitive. The frequency of matches provided for limited resting time but to a greater extent helped to boost competitiveness. The balance sheet is positive despite minor hitches. The championship had a particular savour that made it beautiful.
