South West : Over 10,000 New Voters Registered

These are the official figures after the close of electoral lists.

Strategies put in place by South West Regional Delegation for Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) to woo new voters paid off. The institution’s voter register witnessed a massive inscription of new electors on the electoral register. At the close of the registration process nationwide, statistics from South West Regional Delegation of ELECAM based in Buea showed that the institution counts over 10,749 new voters on the electoral register.  This is against 5, 991 newly registered voters by August 20, 2021. Fako Division is leading the chart with over 6,533 new voters. It is closely followed by Meme Division with 1,135 new voters. Next on the diagram is Kupe Muanenguba with 993 new voters, Ndian has 878 new voters, Manyu got 619 new voters and Lebialem has 591 new voters in that order.
To have recorded this success, ELECAM South West worked closely with sociocultural and development associations where they registered new electors.
