Human Rights : Annual Report For 2021 Getting Ready

During a consultation meeting on September 20, 2022 contributions and integration of the recommendations of and opinions of the Cameroon Human Rights Commission were done.

The annual report on the state of Human rights in Cameroon for 2021 is  getting ready. The focal points of public administrative services and institutions in a consultation meeting on September 20, 2022 organised by the Cameroon Human Rights Commission (CHRC) gave the contributions of their respective structures and during the same occasion, the recommendations and opinions of the human rights commission had to be integrated in the report.

The Vice Chairperson of the Cameroon Human Rights Commission, Dr Raphael Galega presided at the one-day consultation meeting at the Merina Hotel in down town Yaounde. In his opening statement, the Vice Chairperson of the CHRC lauded the massive presence of participants and stated that it was the translation of their interest in human rights and the Cameroon being the State of law. He stressed on the objectives of the consultation session with the general one being to improve the collaboration between the Commission and targeted administrations with regard to contributions to the report of the human rights commission and follow up of the implementation of its recommendations and opinions.
