North West: Youths Trained To Access Job Markets

Fundong (Boyo) - Fundong council, Boyo Division takes the credit with opportunities in ICT training which equips youths of the municipality for the job market. It is all about a sixmonth free training on information and communications technology covering skills in graphic design and UI/UX, Mobile development, digital marketing, data analysis… Subject Master specialists from the MBCode diaspora, Cameroonian partner have stressed the relevance of the training which empowers the 30 youths enrolled to learn by doing. The conviction is that technology has changed from being a luxury and a good to have to a necessity and an absolute must have. The training on course since September 24, 2022 features digital skills as the new normal to help youths find jobs abroad and remotely in them. Boyo SDO, represented by Litia Andrew Mze Ichu who doubles as the Divisional Delegate for Youth Affairs and Civic Education has challenged the youths to use the training to create new opportunities for themselves, the community and address real problems of the times, some of which are driven by misinformation and the spread of hate speech from social media platforms.
