International Congress of Gynaecological Endoscopy: Participants Savour Cameroon's Cultural Heritage

This was during a cultural evening in honour of delegates attending the gathering yesterday September 28, 2022 at the Yaounde Conference Centre.
“All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." This proverb best describes the platform on which delegates at the 2nd International Congress for Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery yesterday, September 28, 2022, gathered. They discovered and enjoyed the cultural values of the country courtesy of the musical band of the National Orchestra. The cultural night organised by the local organising committee of the congress, under the patronage of the Head of State was to honour the “September” guests. The representative of the Head of State at the gala was the Minister of State, Minister of Higher Education, Jacques Fame Ndongo. He was joined at the special evening by the representative of the First Lady, Dr Grace Dion Ngute, and General Coordinator of the Circle of Friends of Cameroon (CERAC). During the early hours of the evening, the tripartite hall of the Conference Centre that had been hosting deliberations on minimally invasive surgery was quickly transformed into a cultural gala spot. The rich cultural display from the various artists at the gala and the enthusiasm expressed by the guests seemed to have erased the tiredness the Gynaecological experts might have witnessed after days of exchange on scientific and practical knowledge on how to develop minimally invasive surgery in Africa. The special evening which began with the singing of the National Anthem by a special choir, was divided into two parts. The first phase focused on welcoming participants while presenting the cultural values that are dear to the nation. The artist Chrys M, in an artistic display through the “Benskin” tempo from the West Region revealed “stability and international relationship” Cameroon shares with other countries.
