North West Public Independent Conciliator : Team Intensifies Sensitization Campaign

The office of the Public Independent Conciliator, PIC, recently explained its role and authority at mid-term sessions of the Bali and Santa Councils.
The key roles of the Public Independent Conciliator as a facilitator, watchdog and advocate of the society has been explained to Councillors of the the Bali and Santa municipalities. Education and sensitization teams from the PIC on September 29, 2022 presented the mission of the institution in amicably settling disputes between service users and service providers at the regional and council administration. The PIC Communication Officer, Ephraim Banda Ghogomu and team members, Rais Ngodji, Claudia Waindim and Tilarius Atia told the mid- term session of the Bali Council that the PIC works to prevent and combat direct or indirect discrimination against users of regional or council services.
The Mayor, Ernest Wandum chaired the session whose Councillors learnt from the PIC team that the institution is an ombudsman, an independent and impartial institution which is around with lessons that promote harmony and crusade for peace. Another PIC team led by Research Officer, Ndi Nelson told the mid- term session of the Santa Council about the PIC's pacification role in preventing and not only waiting to resolve disputes.
